Along the desolate and famed Route 66, which one time hosted pilgrims of the highway from all over the world, weary travelers are in search of a little rest, some hot food, and a peek at the bizarre collection of desert attractions like a mummified human and a stuffed armadillo. During a dark and stormy night, Sarah, a stranger with a secret, stops off at the caf which is home to these oddities, and sets in motion a desperate encounter with the residents of this strange emporium.
